“Tourgrimage” to Florence, Venice, Rome, and Assisi!

Our mission is to provide an affordable yet very enjoyable tour of Italy accompanied by one of our friars and an English speaking, licensed Italian tour guide. To keep prices affordable, you may use your frequent flyer miles and set your own flight schedule to arrive at our port of entry. We will stay at both modern hotels and pensione, the latter run by religious communities with chapels that serve pilgrims and tourists.

▪ Flights from our airport of departure in the United States: New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Chicago. ▪ Daily Mass when possible ▪ Airport Taxes, Security Fees & Fuel Surcharges, saving you an average of $400-$600! ▪ Transfers as per itinerary. ▪ Clean, modern hotels or pensiones staffed by religious congregations. ▪ Transportation with luxury bus and taxis. ▪ All breakfasts and dinners. Wine included with all dinners. ▪ All tips to driver, hotel, and tour guide. If you feel that the tour guide did a great job, offering them extra tips is greatly appreciated. ▪ Guided Tours and Tour Fees ~ Our tour guides are very caring, licensed, and well educated. Many of our guides have their PhD’s. ▪ Single Supplement (as long as the passenger is willing to room with someone and allows us to provide them with a roommate. If the passenger wants a guaranteed room to of their own, then they have to pay the $350 single supplement) ▪ Remember: Our trips are scheduled after the high season to avoid the crowds and heat! You will never be expected to pay extra for anything while on the trip.

Steps For Registration:
1) Call Jenell at the number below, or register online with a credit card and pay your $500 deposit per person to save your spot. The $500 deposit is part of the total price of the trip. 2) A $1,000 air fare Deposit (AD) per person is due 2 months from the registration. 3) The balance is due 1 month before the trip departure date. The balance can be paid either through your credit card, money order or bank check.

NOTE: If you sign up for a trip within 2 months of the departure date (September 3, 2023), you pay the deposit of $500 with a credit card and the balance is required to be overnighted in the form of a personal check, money order or bank check.

Sample Pilgrimage
Day 1 – Friday, March 20: Departure from USA.
Day 2 – Saturday, March 21: Arrival in Venice. An amazing city built on water. Leave for Venice in the morning on our private bus. After arrival at hotel, we will depart for the city to visit St. Mark’s plaza. Optional: Gondola ride and shopping. Long pants if you intend to go inside St. Mark’s. Casual dress if you intend to go on a Gondola ride or spend time shopping and visiting the beautiful streets and bridges of Venice. Dinner and overnight near Venice.
Day 3 – Sunday, March 22: Departure to Florence after Mass. Tour of Florence in the region of Tuscany. Walking tour of the Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, the Uffizzi, Michelangelo’s masterpiece, The David, Flea Market, Duomo (Cathedral), and the Baptistery. This is a great opportunity to explore the marketplace for world famous leather products. Our Tour Guide will show to those interested the location of the Basilica of San Lorenzo and the Medici Chapel (where the Medici family was buried), and Basilica della Santa Croce (where Michelangelo and 15 other glorious Italian artists and thinkers were buried). Dinner and overnight in Florence. Casual dress throughout the day.
Day 4 – Monday, March 23: Departure to Assisi where we will have the opportunity to visit the various Franciscan Shrines: Basilica of St. Clare; the Cathedral of San Rufino where Sts. Francis and Clare were baptized; the famous town square of Assisi and the magnificent Basilica of St. Francis. You will have time to meander through this beautiful, peaceful city as Fr. Greg explains its history and the important shrines. Dinner in Assisi, with overnight at Casa Papa Giovani.
Day 5 – Tuesday, March 24: After a tour of the Potziuncola (the foundation of the Order) we will then visit San Damiano. Before departing for Rome, we will stop at Rivo Torto, one of the first ministry sites of the Franciscan Order. Our dinner and accomodations await us in Rome!
Day 6 – Wednesday, March 25: After a good night’s sleep, we depart early for the Papal audience in St. Peter’s square. After lunch, a visit to the major basilicas of Rome with an overall tour of the city.
Day 7 – Thursday, March 26: Catacombs and Vatican museums. In the evening after dinner, a walking tour with Fr. Greg to Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and Pantheon. Enjoy some great gelato after burning off those calories!
Day 8 – Friday, March 27: After Mass at St. Peter’s, a visit to the Colosseum, where we will enjoy a wine tasting for lunch and a chance for last minute shopping in the afternoon. Your evening will be free.
Day 9 – Saturday, March 28: Our private bus brings us to the airport in Rome to fly home.
