Sr. Marie Grogan, FMDM

After her initial religious training, she entered the field of Nursing, Midwifery and Administration and served in rural Zambia, Ireland and England for the next 29 years. She also became part of the team at the Ignatian Spirituality Centre in Glasgow, offering Spiritual Direction and Retreats.

Since 2013, Sr. Marie has been back at the FMDM Motherhouse in Godalming, England, serving as Director of their Retreat Centre for four years as well as serving in leadership of the two Motherhouse communities on campus until July 2021. Their Retreat Centre has since morphed into a newly renovated Franciscan Centre, where she continues to offer Spiritual direction and Retreats. She also shares Franciscan Spirituality with FMDM’s Temporary Professed Sisters, which includes leading them in Pilgrimage in past years.

In December of 2021, Sr. Marie Grogan joined Franciscan Pilgrimage Programs. She is delighted in sharing the spirituality of Francis and Clare as well as her own Franciscan Life and experiences with all the Pilgrims she meets.
