Fr. Mark G. Reamer, OFM joined the pilgrimage staff in 2022. A native of New Jersey, Fr. Mark serves as Guardian (servant leader) of the Friar Community and Vice-President of Mission at Siena College in Loudonville, NY. He was previously Pastor of the Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi in Raleigh, North Carolina, and associate pastor at St. Francis of Assisi in Triangle, Virginia.
Fr. Mark served as a reserve chaplain in the United States Navy Chaplain Corp for 13 years, including active duty in Kuwait for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. He has volunteered as a police chaplain for the City of Raleigh (NC) and Prince William (VA) Police Departments, and also been involved in prison ministry in North Carolina. Currently he is Chaplain for the Colonie (NY) Police Department.
In addition to his responsibilities at Siena College, Fr. Mark enjoys pastoral outreach at local parishes including as chaplain to Catholic Central High School in Troy, N.Y. which bestowed the Msgr. Burns Award to him in 2019. In 2016 he was elected a member of the Presbyteral Council of the Diocese of Albany, and in 2017 appointed Episcopal Vicar of the Beverwyck region of the diocese.
