This pilgrimage offers pilgrims the opportunity to explore how Franciscan spirituality follows a counter-cultural approach to life. By exploring the vocation choices of Francis and Clare, as well as prominent lay Franciscans, such as Lady Jacopa dei Settesoli, Angela of Foligno, and Margaret of Cortona, this pilgrimage offers opportunities to discern real life decisions such as career/vocation; family life; use of money and resources; and leadership in our world. The pilgrimage includes meal and evening prayer with the Sant’Egidio community at Santa Maria in Trastevere.
