Sr. Marie Puleo, MFIC
Marie is a member of the Missionary Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception. A native of Boston, Marie entered her community in 1972. She recived a BA from Boston State College ,majoring in Spanish. Marie holds a Masters degree in Pastoral Ministry from Boston College and a Masters degree in Franciscan Studies from St Bonaventure University.
Marie has taught in the Novitiate program for the friars of Holy Name Province, has worked giving retreats at Rye Beach Retreat Center and has given presentations on Francis and Clare for the friars of the Immaculate Conception Province as well as her own community.
Marie has ministered in education as a teacher and school principal. She is the co-founder of the National Catholic AIDS Network and worked for many years in AIDS ministry. Most recently Marie served as Senior Vice President for Mission at Steward Health Care in Boston.
