Sr. Clare A. d'Auria, OSF
Clare A. D’Auria OSF, is a Sister of St. Francis of Philadelphia. A native of Philadelphia, Clare entered her congregation in 1965. She has served the Franciscan family for the past twenty-five years as a retreat and spiritual director and is currently a staff member at the Franciscan Spiritual Center in Aston, PA. Her ministerial experience includes congregational and provincial leadership, secondary and collegiate education, and a variety of additional administrative roles. An English teacher in her “former life,” Clare wrote a revision of her congregation’s Constitutions. She has attended classes at the Franciscan Institute at St. Bonaventure University and holds an STM in Franciscan spirituality from The Washington Theological Union. Clare has been published in The Cord and has produced an audio retreat “What We Have Seen and Heard,” a video retreat “Jesus Christ: The Poetry of God,” and a DVD of the keynote address to the Franciscan Federation in 2006—“Stirrings of the Spirit: The Incarnational Prayer of Clare of Assisi.” She loves all things Italian and lives in community in Boothwyn, PA.
