Fr. John Petrikovic, OFM Cap
John Petrikovic is a Capuchin-Franciscan friar from Butler, PA. Born in
1954, John entered the friars in 1976 and was ordained to the priesthood
in 1981. He holds a BA degree in Pastoral Counseling, an MA in
Liturgical Theology from the Washington Theological Union, Silver
Spring, an MA in Franciscan Studies from St. Bonaventure University,
Olean, NY, and an STL in Franciscan Spirituality from the Lateran
University (Antonianum), Rome. John joined the Pilgrimage staff in 1999 after
working with the Capuchin Heritage Pilgrimage for his Capuchin brothers
of North America since 1987.
John taught Religious Studies for eight years at Borromeo College, the Seminary of the Cleveland Diocese and his Capuchin Province (1982-90), and served as Provincial Secretary to his Capuchin Province from 1998-2004.
Since 2004, John has served as Vice-Rector and Prefect of Studies for
the Collegio San Lorenzo in Rome, the International residence for
Capuchin friars in graduate studies. The Collegio houses 160 Capuchin
friars from over 30 countries (http://www.collegiosanlorenzo.org).
