Fr. Oscar Guerendiain, OFM Cap
Oscar Guerendiain is a Capuchin friar of the Vice-province of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Texas. Born in Pamplona, Spain, in 1962, Oscar entered the friars in 1980, professed perpetual vows in 1986 and was ordained to the priesthood the following year. He was then sent to Rome to study spirituality at the Antonianum, and he continued his Franciscan studies at Saint Bonaventure University, where he received an MA degree in 1989. Since then he was worked on initial formation with postulants, both in the United States and in Mexico.
After spening a year at the Capuchin Hermitage in Wheeling, West Virignia, in 2005 Oscar was named pastor of a Hispanic parish in Dallas where he now serves.
