Fr. André Cirino, OFM
His academic background includes: BA, Immaculate Conception College 1963; MA West Virginia University, Counseling, 1968; STM, Woodstock School of Theology, 1975. His ministerial experience includes parish work, Franciscan formation, high school education, and SFO spiritual assistant for Little Portion Fraternity. He also worked at the Little Portion Retreat House for the poor in Bronx, New York for 8 years.
Besides publishing several articles in The Cord, André is co-author of the book Teens Encounter Christ and he edited a journal on the writings of Francis, In the Womb of the Cave. He and Josef Raischl SFO have jointly published an anthology on Franciscan Solitude; The Journey Into God: A Forty-Day Retreat with Bonaventure, Francis and Clare; My Heart’s Quest: Collected Writings of Eric Doyle, Friar Minor, Theologian; and Three Heroes of Assisi in World War II. André and Laurent Gallant OFM have published a prayer book and CD (with Josef Raischl) on St. Francis’ Office of the Passion: The Geste of the Great King. Since 1984 André has conducted pilgrimages to Italy, Prague, England, Mallorca, France, Germany and the California Missions. He lectures at the Franciscan International Study Centre, Canterbury, England.
